2017 CROI Coverage: 16 February

Chritina_TimothyFor the last day of the 2017 Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infection (CROI) held in Seattle, Chritina Psomas, MD, PhD, from the University of Montpellier, France, has benn very inspired for her report.

Furthermore, she oftained a "selfie" with Timothy Ray Brown, the only man on earth who has been cured from HIV following a bone marrow transplant due to acute leukemia.

Timothy participated together with the haematologist who cured him in Hamburg, at the 2012 ISHEID in Marseilles, France, and it was a very emotional moment of the meeting.

As HIV cure research remains our main goal, whe hope to have Tim again participating in our future meetings to stimulate not only Science but also the phylosophical aspects of being the only man on earth cured from this deadly disease.
